The Showground hosts some big regional events that exclude camping though, so be sure to check our ‘What’s on’ calendar.

- Secure Environment: With secure fencing, gates, security cameras and well-lit areas, you can camp with peace of mind.
- Booking available but not necessary (subject to occasional Showground closures).
What to Expect
- Powered Sites: Perfect for caravans and motorhomes needing electricity.
- Unpowered Sites: Ideal for tents and campers who are self-sufficient.
- Undercover Tent Sites: Ideal during the hot summer / rainy season and mid-winter.
- Amenities: Access to clean rest rooms and dump site. (NB: A laundromat is located nearby in South Lismore)
- Pet-Friendly: providing your fur-kid tethered at all times and is well socialised.
Camping Fees
$25.00 per night / $150.00 per week for 2 adults and up to 5 children. Fees include water, electricity and use of the camp kitchen and dump point.
Access: Enter from the top gate in Alexandra Parade, North Lismore – follow the signs. Find a spot and set up. Our on-site Camping Manager, Kerrie, will find you to collect your fees.

Bring along your furry friends. We welcome well-socialised pets to our camping sites and farmers' market, but they must be on a lead at all times.
Horses are welcome by prior arrangement. Stabling cost $10 per day.
- Lismore Farmers’ Market at the Showground: 7.30-11.30am every Saturday morning. Experience the best of local produce and crafts offered by our 40-50 stalls, enjoy a barista coffee and sweet treat, and relax with great local music.
- Enjoy iconic monthly markets: The Channon Craft Market, just 20 minutes away, held on the 2nd Sunday of each month; or the Nimbin Country Market, a scenic 30 minutes’ drive, held on the 4th Sunday of each month.
- Heritage Park (Lismore CBD): Enjoy a day out with the family at this beautiful park. It features lovely playgrounds and a mini railway that’s great fun for the kids.
- Nightcap National Park: a 45 minute drive to lush rainforests and scenic trails, including the historic ‘Protestors’ Falls’ (just a short walk from the parking area).
- Lismore Regional Gallery in the heart of the CBD

Lismore Showground is located on the corner of Dunoon Road and Alexandra Parade, North Lismore.
During major events, traffic arrangements may change, including entry and exit points, parking areas, pedestrian access, or access to the Lismore Farmers' Market.
When special traffic arrangements are in place, details will be listed here, as well as the websites and Facebook pages of major events affecting Showground access.
Visitors are encouraged to check current road conditions before travelling, especially during major events, wet weather or roadworks.

The Showgrounds are closed for camping during Primex, the Lismore Show, Tropical Fruits & the Caravan/Lifestyle Expo (dates pending). Keep an eye on our calendar page for more information.
Q: Can I camp at the Showground if there’s no event on?
A: Yes, camping is usually available outside major event times, subject to availability and ground conditions.
Q: Who do I contact about a specific event?
A: Our event calendar includes links to each organiser’s website or Facebook page for the most up-to-date information, ticketing and contact details.
Q: Is the Showground suitable for large groups or clubs?
A: Yes, we regularly host clubs and group bookings. See VENUE HIRE for more info.
Q: Does the Showground have a laundromat?
A: No, there is no laundromat at the Showground. The nearest is the Station Laundromat, opposite the old train station in Union Street, South Lismore.
Q: Are there accessible toilets and where are they located?
A: Currently the only accessible toilet is within the block of amenities closest to the top gate (Alexandra Parade). Additional accessible toilets and shower facilities are currently being build, with an estimated completion time of September 2026.
Q: Is there a First Aid trained person on site?
A: Yes, the camping manager is trained in First Aid.
Q: Is there a defibrillator on site?
A: Yes, there are two. One is located in the Camp Kitchen; the other is located in the Lismore Farmers’ Market pavilion.
